Pool Safety is Paramount

At Element Glass, we place paramount importance on pool safety. It's essential to adhere to Australian regulations, which require all pools deeper than 30cm to be registered and fenced in accordance with strict safety standards. These standards mandate a minimum fence height of 1200mm, measured from the ground, with functional gate latches. Additionally, all pool fences must be self-closing, have a valid safety certificate, and display a CPR sign within the pool area.

To help educate our local community on pool safety, we'd like to share seven important steps to reduce the risk of drowning:

Always supervise children in or around pools or spas.
Ensure your pool is securely fenced, and the fence complies with pool safety standards outlined in the Building Act 1975.
Organize regular maintenance checks on your pool fencing and gates to ensure they remain reliable.
Adjust your gate to open away from the pool area to enhance safety.
Regularly maintain the garden around the pool to prevent children from climbing into the pool area.
Enroll your child in water awareness and learn-to-swim classes.
Learn CPR and keep your skills up to date with yearly refresher courses.
